As the think- and do-tank of Leiden University, the Centre for Innovation works across sectors, innovating for education and social good. Through its workshops, staff from the Centre work directly with faculties, and social and private organisations to facilitate evidence-based innovation methods and practise. We have extensive experience in innovation projects combining our expertise on innovation methodology, learning experience design, media development, artificial intelligence and data responsibility. Our team’s agile skillset is drawn from these disciplines helping us to work effectively in a range of contexts.

Learning Experience Design 

3-day workshop | Up to 20 participants.

From on the go learning to formal learning experiences, learning is everywhere around us. In your work you probably encounter a lot of different situations in which you learn or where you want others to learn from you. Like sharing your expertise as a consultant, working on implementation of new ways of working or giving workshops to colleagues. But how do you design learning experiences that have real impact?

In the Learning Experience Design session you will build a learning experience step by step and gain insights into the language of learning. After this workshop you will be able to design engaging learning experiences for any situation.

Design Thinking

2-day workshop | Up to 20 participants.

Design Thinking is the way to work together within your organisation to come up with new solutions. Solutions that really address problems, take a holistic perspective and make sure you keep thinking from the user’s point of view. In the second day take we’ll take you through the process of Design Thinking. You’re going to work with an own case and is intensively coached in working with Various tools.

After this training, you’ll be able to host and participate in a 3-hour Design Thinking workshop to (co-) design, facilitate and inspire colleagues help them with their innovation projects and develop new value propositions for your organisation.
