Will Virtual and Augmented Reality influence the future of education? To keep Leiden University at the forefront of AR & VR, the Centre for Innovation has been exploring the possibilities (and pitfalls!) of virtual and augmented reality for teaching and learning.
On November 21st, we’ll present VR and AR-applications developed together with faculties. Teachers and students will reflect on the potential benefits for education. And, of course, you’ll also be able to experience the apps yourself.
–Learn how virtual and augmented reality are being implemented in education programmes at Leiden.
–Hear how Leiden University sees the use of digital reality apps in its future.
–Experience various 360VR education applications for healthcare, biology, archeology, anthropology
–Try out our Augmented Reality Hololens-apps to get a better understanding of human anatomy.
–See how we develop apps: for teachers to be, experiencing a tumultuous classroom; and for students who will be working in a chemistry lab and have to learn the hazards/risks of lab work.
–Listen to presentations and discuss about the added value of VR and AR for education.
The event is held at PLNT, Leiden, and begins at 13:30 (until 17:30). The event is free. More information will come soon, but if registration is already open for those who want to be sure of a place.
We look forward to seeing you there!
