"We cannot solve our [conflicts] with the same thinking we used  [yesterday]." - Albert Einstein revised

I started the Bachelor on International Studies at Leiden University, with a specialization in the African Great Lakes region .

At the peace informatics lab, I became fascinated by the insight that technology and data can provide for the most remote, conflict-affected communities. Since then, I have helped write grant and research proposals on issues such as data tools for Demobilisation, Disarmament and Reintegration (DDR) and written a conference paper on Big Data and City Diplomacy.

With graduation around the corner, I am interested in gaining more practical insights from the humanitarian and crisis-response sector and the potential for ICT and data to improve ground truth understanding.
