Daan Meily

In my bachelor of International Studies I focus on Southeast Asia, with a strong interest in economic and sustainable developments in this area. Towards the end of my studies I got more involved with the Centre for Innovation as a student fellow. Currently I am working together with the Dutch association for development aid, Partos, on a project that aims to eradicate exclusion through Big Data and new technologies. In the initial phase I am working on a report that sets out the uses and implications of Big Data in acquiring insights on the situation of excluded populations in developing countries. The expertise of fellow students and experts at the Centre for Innovation is very helpful and inspiring in working on my current project. With that in mind I am looking forward to complete this project and follow it up with other challenges.
