Network Analytics: Greenpeace

Policy is increasingly made by networks, through which many stakeholders interact. But who represents whom in these networks? And how do those at the bargaining table tie in to the diverging interests and actors? lynks visualises the interests behind the bargaining table. One example is the network underpinning the Dutch Energy Deal 2013 (Energieakkoord). As part of the deal, representatives from over 70 organisations struck a deal to push for greater levels of sustainable energy in the Netherlands.

Lynks not only shows who's at the four thematic subgroups (tafels 1, 2, 3 and 4). It also shows all other current positions of these negotiators. This reveals a unique insight in how a myriad of organisations have direct access to the negotiation table.

Sectors are colour coded for an easy and intuitive interface, to see which 'interests' are where. Depending on individual interest, the user can explore the specific network of only organisations or people as well.
