Brave New World 2017

On 2 and 3 November, the world of culture, philosophy, science, technology and storytelling will collide, when the second Brave New World conference is hosted in Leiden, The Netherlands.

Brave New World is a conference for people who want to know what the future holds in store and how this will affect their business, policies and life. It brings the brightest and most unique thinkers in the fields of culture, philosophy, sciences, technology and storytelling together to discuss potential problems and opportunities in the world of tomorrow.

This conference is for people who want to go beyond their own field of interest, who want to network with others with innovative mindset: for professionals coming from (applied) science, industry, (semi) government and the creative industry.

On both days, the conference covers two themes: Human Enhancement and Nature & Tech on 2 November, and Res Publica Ex Machina (how technology influences democracy and politics) and Artificial Intelligence on 3 November.
